Philanthropy

Being a part of Notkin means supporting the local community. One of the firm's primary organizations is Childhaven. Since 1996, Notkin staff have supported children and their families for Childhaven's Eli Creekmore Kindergarten Start-up and Holiday Adopt-a-Family programs.

Relative to the A/E/C industry, Notkin supports the Seattle Architectural Foundation and the AIA Seattle Chapter as an Allied Partner. In addition, Notkin supported several programs focused on educating the public about engineering through presentations to community colleges and participation in the ACE Mentor Program sponsored by the American Council of Engineering Companies/ACEC-WA. (See Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce article about the ACE Mentor Program, "An ACE in the hole for high schoolers," March 25, 2004, Construction & Equipment 2004 Special Section.)
