Notkin engineers have proven expertise in providing solutions involved in complex mechanical systems for cultural arts facilities. Challenges have ranged from handling extreme temperature variances for the "Hot Shop" at the Museum of Glass to tight tolerances in air quality, temperature and humidity for the Experience Music Project and Benaroya Hall. EMP also stretched conventional design limits in terms of creating a non-traditional mechanical system for a complicated, non-linear building structure.
