The new 55,323 sq. ft., two-story building replaces a 1953 facility and houses laboratories, classrooms, and support space for the computer, math, biology, and chemistry programs.

The campus heating water system was extended to serve the new science education and laboratory building. Chilled water is provided by an air-cooled rotary liquid chiller located in the building. The BAS is an extension of the existing campus control management system.

The classroom/laboratory wings of the building are oriented to allow for maximum north and south daylight.
