This new 15,000-sf campus facility contains a 350-seat theater, performance and assembly spaces, and drama classrooms. A flexible-use, secondary performance area seats up to 75 people and also accommodates drama, dance and small ensemble music performances. Also contained are dressing rooms, costumes storage, band room, instrument storage, choir room, practice rooms, editing room, and faculty offices. Mechanical zoning was key to ensuring that students, teachers and visitors were comfortable and systems operated at optimum energy efficiency, especially in the large performance areas, Notkin's engineers also exercised care in the selection, location, and installation of mechanical systems to ensure that noise did not interfere with the educational process or in performance spaces.
