This large consolidated fuel facility consists of three 30,000-barrel, above-ground steel tanks with floating pans to store JP-8 jet fuel, a fuel operations building, and truck filling stands to serve the Ault Field flight line. A modified cross-island booster pump station supports barge unloading and fuel transfer directly to the new storage facility.
The new facility improves operational efficiency and significantly decreases the environmental risk of fuel leak from aging underground tanks.
