Dry Dock 6 is the only West Coast dry dock equipped to service aircraft carriers. This project repaired and replaced critical dewatering system components, including the overhaul of 114,000 gpm dewatering pumps and motors, new controllers, and replacement of suction sluice gates.

Creative construction phasing provided an exceptional opportunity for designers to partner with the contractor to offer a solution that ensured uninterrupted operations. The design and contracting teams received “exceptional” and “outstanding” evaluations.
