Shell and core design for the entire 209,000 sq. ft. building as well as tenant design for the lower two floors. Included four floors of labs, scientists' offices, library, seminar/conference rooms, and four levels of below-grade parking. Flexible laboratory planning modules and mechanical equipment zones allow the modules to function individually or in combination with others to create larger research space.
Since several commercial spaces were unassigned, Notkin designed the system with optimum flexibility to allow for different space needs and uses in the future. Zones were designed to be generic and repetitive, which allows the owner to combine zones or break into individual zones as space needs change.
